How to Run an OSRS Clan Bingo

Clan bingo is one of the most popular community events in Old School RuneScape. This guide walks you through planning, building, and running a bingo from scratch — whether you have 6 friends or a 200-member clan. What is OSRS bingo?

OSRS bingo is a clan event where teams race to complete a grid of objectives — item drops, boss kills, XP gains, collection log slots, quests, and more. Completing tiles fills in squares; completing rows, columns, or diagonals usually earns bonus points. At the end of the event window, the team with the most points wins.

Choosing your tiles

Good tile selection is the single biggest factor in whether your bingo feels fun or frustrating. A few rules of thumb:

• Mix tile difficulty — every row should contain one easy, one medium, and one hard tile.
• Balance content types — PvM, skilling, clues, minigames.
• Avoid “dead tiles” that are either trivially fast or statistically unlikely within the event window.
• If your clan has mixed accounts (mains, irons, GIM), prefer tiles that every build can attempt.

Board size and duration

The two levers are grid size and event length. A 5×5 board runs well over a weekend; a 7×7 or 10×10 is better over one to two weeks. As a starting point:

• 5×5, 2–3 days — casual weekend event, small clans.
• 7×7, 1 week — sweet spot for most medium clans.
• 10×10, 2 weeks — competitive, large clans, serious prize pools.

Setting up teams

Team size typically lands between 3 and 8 players. Smaller teams make every member's contribution matter; larger teams let you attempt more tiles in parallel. If you want competitive matchups, balance teams by combat level, total level, or hiscores rating rather than letting captains draft freely.

Scoring and bingo lines

Most clan bingos use a simple formula: points per tile + bonus points per completed row, column, or diagonal. You can add tile tiers (e.g. 1 × Zulrah = 5 pts, 5 × Zulrah = 15 pts) to reward sustained effort. Keep scoring simple enough that players can explain it in one sentence.
